Workshop on Diffraction Limited Storage Rings
9-11 December, 2013
SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory
Menlo Park, CA
The Diffraction Limited Storage Ring Workshop being held at SLAC December 9-11, 2013 is the third in a series addressing the science and technology of building and using the next generation of storage rings. There is now worldwide interest in upgrading existing storage rings as well as constructing new storage rings where the electron beam emittance approaches the diffraction limit even for 1 Angstrom x-rays. This workshop will focus on both science and accelerator questions with particular attention to hardware development for the storage rings and the R&D in optics and instrumentation needed to carry out the science that these new sources will enable.
